On September 18, IWP Professor Joshua Muravchik discussed arguments regarding Israel and Palestine he made in his book Making David into Goliath: How the World Turned Against Israel on the John Batchelor Show.
Prof. Muravchik argued that Arab countries use Israel as a scapegoat for all of the problems that arise in their own countries due to the supposed affiliation between Israel and the Western world. Other countries whose citizens hate the Western world often see Israeli success as the result of the strengthening of the West. They therefore show hostility towards Israel.
In the segment, Prof. Muravchik also addressed the dangers posed by radical Islam to many Middle Easterners. Conflict in the Middle East, he said, can be largely attributed to those who support the reign of terror and a totalitarian agenda, and those who fight it.
