For the 2015-16 school year, IWP and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs will provide unlimited matching tuition support for eligible veterans via the Yellow Ribbon Program.
This program, initiated at IWP to honor our nation’s veterans, allows eligible veterans to complete a Master’s Degree program on a full-time basis with no out-of-pocket tuition costs (provided the student is 100% eligible for Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits). When IWP initially joined this program in early 2015, it designed the matching funds to cover tuition so that most student veterans could attend tuition free. This increase in available funds will allow all eligible veterans to participate in IWP’s graduate programs with no tuition costs.
Of the program, student Drew Duncan comments, “I was ecstatic when I discovered IWP’s partnership with the VA to implement the GI Bill’s Yellow Ribbon Program. My remaining costs for the semester were covered through this program, personally saving me over $2,000. IWP is undoubtedly dedicated to veterans in all facets of its operations as an institution of higher learning.”
