Congratulations to the Class of 2015!

Class of 2015 444x718IWP recognized sixty-six graduates in a Commencement Ceremony at the Mayflower Hotel on May 16, 2015.  Five IWP-US Army War College Fellows were also recognized, one of whom, CH (COL) Samuel K. Godfrey, delivered the invocation.

The Valedictorian, C.G, offered remarks, urging fellow graduates to maintain moral courage and integrity:

“…the message I wish to convey in parting is a hope that, as you answer your various professional callings, be it in diplomacy, defense, intelligence, or elsewhere, you will not only feel confident in the skills and understanding acquired during your time at IWP, but that the latter ever serves as a reminder of the moral tradition which the Institute upholds and that we too must uphold in our work, our community, and in ourselves.”

Many in the Class of 2015 are already applying principles learned at IWP to their professional work.  The graduating class includes a strategist for the U.S. Army, a Senior Legislative Assistant on Capitol Hill, writers for news media, and several intelligence analysts and area experts, both the U.S. Government and private defense and intelligence contracting companies.

Robert P. George, McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, gave the keynote address, and was awarded a Doctorate of Laws, Honoris Causa.  Nathan Fiala, a member of the Class of 2015, sang the National Anthem.
