Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn (Ret.) will deliver the keynote speech at IWP’s Silver Anniversary Gala and Chancellor’s Dinner. This Gala is being held on October 14th at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Pentagon City to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Institute of World Politics. LTG Flynn has long been a friend of IWP, and has spoken at the annual Pearl Harbor Day Lecture, as well as career events and briefings for students of the Institute.
Also an IWP parent, LTG Flynn is the former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. He served 33 years in the US Army in various combat arms and senior intelligence roles. He worked extensively with the US Special Operations community in Afghanistan and was Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Partner Engagement. His legacy is one of synergy and enhanced communication between intelligence establishments as well as adaptability to the novel strategic environment of the twenty-first century.
