Lt. j.g. Joshua Fiveson, currently a Navy fellow at The Institute of World Politics, volunteers as Director of Development with Service to School, a non-profit that provides free application counseling to military veterans.
Fiveson is also one of the Service to School’s directors and recently organized the “Admission Accomplished” event in Washington D.C.
This event, which featured retired U.S. Army Gen. David Petraeus as a keynote speaker, included a day of free workshops which were focused on how to make a successful transition from “Service to School.” This event ended with a public forum at Georgetown University’s School of Business, where both Lt. j.g. Fiveson and General Petraeus discussed the benefits of higher education, challenges in the admissions process that service members have to face, and questions from the audience.
In addition to his work with Service to School and his fellowship at the Institute, Lt. j.g. Fiveson is currently serving as an Attorney Advisor to Judge Kevin Ohlson at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
