Amb. R. James Woolsey discusses the FBI/Apple debate after Paris attack terror suspect captured

On Friday, March 18, Ambassador R. James Woolsey, current IWP Chancellor and former Director of Central Intelligence, appeared on Fox News, where he discussed the battle between FBI and Apple in light of the recent capture of Paris terror suspect Salah Abdeslam.

He noted that the conflict between two important values, security and privacy, remains the same with the FBI’s attempts to gain a backdoor entry into Apple iPhones. It is unclear whether the electronic devices involved in Brussels were Apple products, and whether it was these electronics alone that led the authorities to Salah Abdeslam and the other suspects.
