Raymond Batvinis to speak on 9/11 and the FBI

Dr. Raymond Batvinis will speak in the Marechal Foch Auditorium at the Ecole Militaire in Paris on Thursday, June 23rd at 7:00 PM.

Dr. Batvinis’ discussion will focus on defense and security in light of the 9/11 attacks and the history of the FBI. Additionally, he will outline and evaluate internal and external causes contributing to the terrorist attack.

The event will feature introductory remarks from François Mattens, the president of IHEDN, and ANAJ-General (2s) Jean-Pierre Meyer, the President of Cercle K2. The introduction will be followed by the discussion with Dr. Raymond Batvinis. The program will conclude with remarks from Vincent Nouzille, a journalist who specializes in intelligence issues. The event is in collaboration with Cercle K2, an international think tank based in France.

Dr. Batvinis is the Executive Director at the J. Edgar Hoover Foundation, a former Supervisory Special Agent at the FBI, Founding Member of Cercle K2, and FBI Historian. Dr. Batvinis has been an adjunct professor at the Institute of World Politics for the past eleven years, teaching courses on counterintelligence as a function of statecraft.
