Bill Gertz, author of such books as: The China Threat: How the People’s Republic Targets America, Breakdown: How America’s Intelligence Failures Led to Sept. 11 and Treachery: How America’s Friends and Foes Are Secretly Arming Our Enemies discussed his new book iWar on January 17 at IWP.
During his lecture, Mr. Gertz presented his argument for increased U.S. information warfare capabilities, both offensive and defensive, in order to combat growing external threats from Russia and China. Throughout his speech Mr. Gertz discussed the information warfare capabilities of America’s rivals, including cyber-attacks, misinformation, and propaganda. He also discussed his designs for how the U.S. could adapt to the challenges of a 21st century information-based war.
