On October 10, representatives from the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union (PSFCU) presented a $150,000 gift to the IWP Kosciuszko Chair of Polish Studies at a public ceremony.
This gift was given at a special pre-reception for IWP’s seventh annual General Walter Jajko Kosciuszko Chair Military Lecture, sponsored by the Center for Intermarium Studies and the Kosciuszko Chair of Polish Studies. During the pre-reception, IWP President and Founder Dr. John Lenczowski thanked the PSFCU for its generosity and explained how the funds would be used to further the important mission of the Kosciuszko Chair and of IWP.
The lecture which followed was entitled “Reconnaissance on the Eastern Front in WWI” and was presented by Captain Andrew Harris, the IWP valedictorian of 2017 and an active duty Military Intelligence Officer.
IWP was very pleased to welcome the following PSFCU representatives at this event: Ryszard Bak, Elzbieta Baumgartner, Bogdan Chmielewski, Krzysztof Matyszczyk, Robert Piwowarczyk, Zbigniew Rogalski, and Leszek Wojtkowski.
The Institute of World Politics would like to extend our tremendous gratitude to the members of the Board of the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union for their most generous gift. As a result, the Institute is much closer to securing the Kosciuszko Chair as a permanent professorship and program at IWP.
Because of generous supporters like PSFCU, the Institute is able to impart vital lessons from Polish history and culture to our students and future world leaders.
