The National Defence College of Nigeria Military Officers and Government Officials attend seminar at IWP

On Thursday May 16, 26 students from the Nigerian National Defence College visited IWP for a series of lectures focused on irregular warfare. The visiting students hailed from every branch of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

After a warm welcome by the IWP Dean of Academics, Dr. Frank Marlo, IWP and visiting U.S. Army War College faculty members discussed ideological warfare, U.S.-Africa strategy, counterterrorism through cultural exchange, irregular warfare, and how terrorist groups end. Participating professors included IWP Founder and President Dr. John Lenczowski, Prof. Charles Snyder, Prof. Albert Santoli, Colonel Frederick Gellert, USA (retired) of the U.S. Army War College, and Dr. Christopher Harmon.

The Nigerian delegation was led by Major General Peter John Dauke, Deputy Commandant and Director of Studies of the National Defence College of Nigeria, and Commander Idongesit Udoessian, acting Defense, Military Attaché for the Nigerian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

The visit was organized and hosted by Mr. Tim Stebbins, IWP Vice President of Graduate Recruitment, and sponsored by Captain Christopher D. Glass, Sr. USN (retired), IWP Senior Vice President for Professional Affiliations.
