On May 31st, IWP Prof. Rebeccah Heinrichs participated in a panel hosted by the Hudson Institute with the aim of discussing the consequences of our current administration’s Iran policy. Panelists debated whether President Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign is leading the United States to war with Iran, or whether it will force the Iranians back to the negotiating table.
Iran’s desire to become a nuclear power is relevant to Prof. Heinrichs’ expertise in nuclear deterrence. Regardless of America’s eventual trajectory, the Middle East will remain deeply important to our foreign policy.
