On January 22nd, IWP Professor Henry Sokolski was interviewed on the John Batchelor show, where he discussed the effects that an Iranian threat to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty may have on Asia.
During the episode, Prof. Sokolski spoke about the issues surrounding withdrawal from the NPT. He compared the cases of North Korea and Iran, which both decided to withdraw, and the repercussions this has on the international community.
The John Batchelor show is a weekly podcast that focuses on breaking news, global politics, economics, war-fighting, and other matters. Professor Sokolski was featured on an episode along with Gordon Chang, well known columnist, lawyer, and author of the popular book The Coming Collapse of China.
Professor Sokolski teaches IWP 607: Nonproliferation and Nuclear Policy at IWP and has had a long career in the field of nuclear nonproliferation. In addition to being a professor here at IWP, Prof. Sokolski is the Executive Director of the Nonproliferation Policy Education Center, a nonprofit organization that helps to promote a better understanding of strategic weapons proliferation issues.
