On May 7th, a group of about 12 officers from the United States Army War College (USAWC) participated in a virtual visit to The Institute of World Politics and heard from various experts on the IWP faculty and staff.
This virtual visit was a replacement for an in-person visit, which has become a tradition for the USAWC. The USAWC usually brings some of its students to Washington, D.C. for a short trip, giving the students an opportunity to learn more about ways in which U.S. national security is influenced, as well as to better understand topics such as the United States’ national power and Congress’ responsibilities. As The Institute of World Politics has a strong emphasis on national security affairs, the USAWC brought students to visit in both 2018 and 2019.
After an introduction by Dr. John Lenczowski, IWP Senior Vice President for Cyber Intelligence Dean Lane and IWP’s Dean of Academics Dr. Frank Marlo presented lectures to the group.
