On Wednesday, October 21, members of the IWP Chancellor’s Council gathered for a virtual meeting.
Traditionally, Chancellor’s Council members gather annually at IWP’s campus in Washington, D.C. to hear presentations on national security and international affairs topics from students, alumni, and faculty. This meeting is typically followed by a reception and dinner. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the program this year was shortened to be more conducive to a virtual format.
The meeting began with a discussion on the state of the school with IWP Chairman John Lovewell, IWP Founder and President Dr. John Lenczowski, and IWP Dean Dr. Frank Marlo.
Mark Beall (’09), who was serving as head of strategic engagement and policy at the Department of Defense’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, gave a talk on “The Future of Artificial Intelligence and National Security.”
Then IWP professor and former Deputy National Security Advisor Dr. Joseph Wood discussed “Will America say farewell to greatness? The Mysterious Conclusion to Federalist Paper #2.”
IWP looks forward to its next Chancellor’s Council Meeting and Dinner, which will take place October 26-27, 2021, culminating with a 30th (+1!) Anniversary Gala and Chancellor’s Dinner on the 27th.
