On Thursday, May 20th, Chris Glass, Senior Vice President, virtually attended the United States Military Academy class of 2021 Superintendent’s Convocation for Excellence and Achievement Awards Ceremony.  Lt. Gen. Darryl A. Williams, Superintendent of West Point, presented this year’s award to Cadet Brian B. Kim on behalf of The Institute of World Politics due to ongoing COVID restrictions.  Cadet Kim will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant into the Cyber Branch on Saturday, May 22, 2021.

“On behalf of the Institute, we congratulate Cadet Kim on his outstanding Cyber Statecraft achievements and commissioning. You are now the tip of the spear. May prudence and tenacity continually guide your leadership responsibilities as you serve in the world’s greatest Army,” said Capt. Glass.

The award represents the enduring partnership between IWP’s Cyber Intelligence Initiative (Ci2) and the U.S. Army Cyber Institute. It is presented each year to the outstanding graduate who has demonstrated superior excellence and initiative in cyber statecraft studies while at West Point. Past recipients of this award are Amanda Roper (2019) and Lexie Johnson (2018).
