Dr. Marek Jan Chodakiewicz receives award from the American Council for Polish Culture

Marek Chodakiewicz, ACPC EventOn Friday, September 24, 2021, IWP professor Dr. Marek Jan Chodakiewicz received a Distinguished Service Award for 2020 from the American Council for Polish Culture (ACPC).

The awards ceremony took place within ACPC’s Culture Awards Banquet at the University Club of Washington. At this event, ACPC gave out its awards for 2020 and 2021.

The American Council for Polish Culture promotes Polish culture, heritage and history, and intercultural understanding. It serves as a network and body of national leadership among affiliated Polish-American cultural organizations throughout the United States.

Dr. Chodakiewicz serves as a Professor of History at The Institute of World Politics, where he holds the Kosciuszko Chair of Polish Studies. He heads IWP’s Center for Intermarium Studies. He teaches courses on Contemporary Politics and Diplomacy, Geography and Strategy, Intermarium: Politics and History of Central & Eastern Europe, Mass Murder Prevention in Failed and Failing States, Russian Politics and Foreign Policy, and The European Union.
