Karina Rollins (’15) joins IWP faculty

Karina RollinsIWP Alumna Karina Rollins has joined the IWP faculty as an Adjunct Professor of Writing. She is teaching the course Introduction to Graduate Writing (IWP 643). The course familiarizes students with the conventions of academic writing.

Prof. Rollins is senior research editor at The Heritage Foundation, where she edits research papers and policy books for the foreign and domestic policy departments.

Before joining Heritage in 2008, Karina Rollins was the editor of the Hudson Institute’s Index of Global Philanthropy and senior editor of The American Enterprise magazine. She has worked on the New York Post editorial page and as an editor at National Review, beginning her editorial journey at The National Interest and The Public Interest.

Karina Rollins has been published on and, as well as in The American EnterpriseChroniclesNational Review, the New York Post, and The Public Interest. She has appeared on national U.S. and German television and is co-editor of the 2005 book In Real Life: Powerful Lessons from Everyday Living.

In 2003, she was a participant in the American Swiss Foundation’s Young Leaders Conference in Switzerland. Born and raised in Germany, Karina Rollins is a native speaker of both English and German.

She holds a master’s degree in Statecraft and National Security Affairs from The Institute of World Politics.
