IWP leadership speak about Ukraine at Greensboro dinner

On April 28, Interim President Amb. Aldona Woś, M.D. and her husband, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, hosted a dinner for over 100 guests at their home with a talk on Ukraine by IWP Interim Dean Dr. James Robbins and IWP Founder, Chancellor, and President Emeritus Dr. John Lenczowski.

After a reception, Reverend Monsignor Anthony Marcaccio from St Pius X Catholic Church gave the blessing for dinner, and Amb. Woś made remarks about the Institute.

Dr. Lenczowski gave a talk remotely from Washington, D.C., and Dr. Robbins spoke in person. They discussed the war in Ukraine, its background, and possible scenarios of how the situation would unfold. Amb. Woś moderated a Q&A session with both speakers.

The group also toasted Andrew DeJoy, the son of Amb. Wos and Mr. DeJoy, who recently graduated from Duke University School of Law and wrote a book entitled Behind the Swap.

At the end of the evening, Amb. Woś announced that she had received a $1,000 check, a $10,000 check, and a $100,000 check in support of IWP, and that we now only need a $1 million check! In total, the event raised $155,780.

Amb. Woś also encouraged guests to attend IWP’s upcoming Chancellor’s Council Meeting and Gala at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City on September 27th-28th.
