Dr. Wayne Schroeder contributes to article on the NATO Strategic Concept

IWP professor Dr. Wayne Schroeder has contributed to an Atlantic Council article entitled “Visualizing the NATO Strategic Concept: Five Ways to Look at the Alliance’s Future.” This paper was published on June 16, two weeks before the start of the NATO Summit in Madrid.

Dr. Schroeder wrote a section on “NATO’s Military Capacity Post-Ukraine,” where he discusses defense spending, readiness, capability, and capacity issues.

A former U.S. deputy undersecretary of defense for resource planning and management, Dr. Schroeder currently serves as a Nonresident Senior Fellow with the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security in the Atlantic Council’s Transatlantic Security Initiative. At IWP, he teaches courses on Defense Strategy, Planning and Budgeting, International Organizations and Multilateral Diplomacy, and U.S. Bilateral Security Agreements.
