
On July 6, IWP professor Dr. Marek Jan Chodakiewicz was awarded the Gold Medal “Sapientia Veritas” – one of the highest awards of the Polish government – during the opening ceremony of the First World Congress of Polish Education and Science Abroad.
The Polish Minister of Education and Science, Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, presented the “Sapientia Veritas” to Dr. Chodakiewicz as well as two other individuals for their contributions to the development of Polish science and culture abroad.
The conference had nearly 500 guests from 40 countries and aimed to strengthen Polish diaspora cooperation in the fields of education and science and to develop proposals for solutions to support Poles living and working abroad in the field of education and in promoting their native culture worldwide.
At IWP, Dr. Chodakiewicz leads the Center for Intermarium Studies and teaches classes on diplomacy, geography and strategy, the Intermarium region, mass murder prevention, Russian politics and foreign policy, and the European Union.
