On Tuesday, August 2, 2023, The Institute of World Politics Founder, President Emeritus, and Chancellor, Dr. John Lenczowski, spoke at the Leadership Institute’s monthly Wake-Up Club Breakfast.
Dr. Lenczowski spoke about IWP’s core mission and values of developing leaders with a sound understanding of international realities and the ethical conduct of statecraft based on knowledge and appreciation of American founding principles and the Western moral tradition.
Throughout Dr. Lenczowski’s lecture, he spoke of the importance of “prudence.” He defined prudence as the application of sound moral and strategic principles to the circumstances at hand. He explained that a lack of prudence is dangerous, especially today given the security challenges that face the U.S. Dr. Lenczowski stated that our leaders need prudence to understand these security challenges in order to respond accordingly. He noted that IWP prepares future leaders with this understanding.
