Dr. Thomas “Tommy” Gardner will join The Institute of World Politics as an instructor for the Cyber Intelligence Initiative. Dr. Gardner is HP’s Chief Technology Officer for HP Federal, spanning the U.S. Federal Agencies, Higher Education, K-12 Education, State and Local government customer segments, as well as Federal Systems Integrators. His current responsibilities include technology leadership, strategic technology plans, product and technology strategies, sales force technical support, and customer and partner relationships.
Previous to HP, Dr. Gardner was the Chief Technology Officer at four companies. Dr. Gardner received his M.S. in Management of Technology from M.I.T. He then went on to receive his MPA in Science and Technology from Harvard and completed his formal education with a Ph.D. in Energy Economics from George Washington University.
Dr. Gardner will teach a seminar on Cyber Ethics as a part of the Cyber Intelligence seminar series.
