On June 26, students and interns from The Institute of World Politics visited the Pentagon for a curated tour led by IWP alumni.
The IWP group had the opportunity to see where the world’s greatest military minds plan the nation’s defense. They visited more than 30 exhibits in the building that paid tribute to and explained the history of the U.S. Armed Forces and the Department of Defense. The alumni escorts provided a detailed and personal account of the contributions of outstanding individuals and information about topics important to the nation’s defense.
After the tour, the visit concluded with an informal Q&A with IWP alumni on the ins and outs of entering the national security field.
IWP is grateful to our alumni working at the Pentagon for taking the time to mentor our students and for giving them a behind-the-scenes experience.
