IWP and Good of All

IWP Logo   Good of All: Promoting Human Dignity

“Any comprehensive approach to resolving the tension between those who seek to foster free and open societies and those who subscribe to more authoritarian views must include capturing hearts and minds of the next generation with the idea that respect for human dignity is a universal and fundamental right.”
-Dr. Matthew Daniels, founder of Good of All and the Center for Human Rights and International Affairs, and Chair of Law and Human Rights at IWP

In December 2013, The Institute of World of World Politics (IWP) partnered with the non-profit human rights group Good of All in the creation of The Center for Human Rights and International Affairs.

The center, housed at the Institute, conducts research exploring the relationship between human rights and international affairs and security issues, as well as ways to prevent and address radicalization.

Dr. Matthew Daniels, who leads the Center, teaches a course on Human Rights and Counter-Radicalization (IWP 673), which introduces the morally, legally and politically strategic terrain of human rights in the context of both international relations and national security.

The Center also maintains the Human Rights Collection, part of the IWP library.

Furthermore, the Center is a part of the Human Rights Network (HRN), a global academic network that promotes human rights education through digital media. All of the content produced is created by international students at one of their academic centers affiliated with institutions in North America, Europe, and Asia. IWP students and interns have the opportunity to work with the Good of All project and produce content for the HRN.
