“This is the IWP China/Asia Program’s very first partnership with another academic institution, and I look forward to the exciting opportunities that we can build with them.”

-Dr. Amanda Won, Director of China/Asia Program at IWP

Located in the heart of Washington, D.C., The Institute of World Politics (IWP) stands as a distinguished graduate school with expertise in national security, intelligence, and international affairs. Demonstrating a commitment to advancing academic cooperation, IWP, through its China/Asia Program, and Loyola University Maryland, Inc. established a partnership to enhance education in international affairs, national security, and intelligence in January 2024.

Benefits for Loyola University Maryland students and graduates:

  • Early Assurance: Loyola University Maryland students gain a streamlined path to IWP’s Master of Arts (MA) programs through the Admission with Early Assurance program. Starting from the junior year, students can initiate the application process, paving the way for pre-approved admission upon successful completion of their Loyola University Maryland undergraduate program.
  • Internships: Loyola University Maryland undergraduates receive priority consideration for IWP’s internship program, which offers valuable hands-on experience in the dynamic fields of national security, international affairs, and strategic intelligence.
  • Scholarships for IWP’s onsite M.A. programs: IWP extends special financial support, including “partnership scholarships” of $2,200 per semester for at least ten students and graduates of Loyola University Maryland annually.
  • Reduced tuition for online M.A. programs: Loyola University Maryland students and alumni accepted to IWP’s online M.A. programs benefit from a reduced tuition of $500 per credit hour, making quality education more accessible.

Offering early admission pathways, financial support, and immersive learning experiences, this strategic partnership is tailored to empower students and graduates in the dynamic fields of international affairs, national security, and intelligence.
