This course is designed to review the material covered in IWP 953 and to further develop reading, writing, listening, and conversational skills at C1 proficiency level (advanced low ACTFL scale level).

This course is designed to review the material covered in IWP 954 and to further develop reading, writing, listening, and conversational skills at C2 proficiency level (advanced mid ACTFL scale level).

For this course selection, the doctoral student will write a 50-75 page paper that demonstrates mastery in one of the three areas of study: Principles of Statecraft and Strategy; Functional Concentration (strategy, diplomacy, intelligence, etc.); and Regional Concentration.

This course is intended to expose students to the field of strategic thought.
